Default Meat in the sandwich - Body shop needed.

Any recommendations for a body shop in the East Bay and further East? I ended up #2 in a five car pow wow on the 680 last Thursday.

I'm hoping they don't total it.

UPDATE

Charley is fine (just got off phone, he is trick or treating with grandkids)...it was his 88S4 (red)....damage sounds reasonable from what he described...rear bumper, plus inner assembly with a small dent on hatch...front is even better...no apparent frame damage....

Looking for a good 928 knowledgeable body shop in the east bay??

Sorry to hear that, Charley.

Hope the insurance company treats you right and you are able to save it.

Sorry to hear about the unwanted encounter on 680. I've used B & M Auto Body in Berkeley. They did the hood on my S4, also fixed damage to the mini van when the neighbor backed into it. Did a good job.

Thanks Rich, I'll be encouraging them toward used parts in order to avoid totaling it. I'll let you know. Does it need painting?

No, South Bay would be OK.

It has a scuff and small (about 3/4 inch) tear down near the muffler cutout. Otherwise it could be installed right now. I can send pics if you want them.

I had always understood that the bumper shocks were one time use but these look like they have sprung back into position. Can someone tell me the status of this shock by looking at the picture?

Id still replace it..could be entirely useless the next time it may be asked to soften light impact.

Meaning the designed resistance might not be there?
