I found this Pic on another renn posting. im pretty sure this is an example of a late 87 model.
thanks for the photos of your early 87
I just realized I cant attach anything until I get the heads back.
my loop is bigger than standard. I'll need to see if there is any interference with the manifold.

update
both heads have all but three valve guides installed. had to order three more, tney would not drive in for some reason.
timefor remming the valve guides to help open them up.
very very close to reinstalling all of the valves.
install heads and then look at my gas line set up

My heads are at the smitts cnc shop being reemed and the gasket surface being ran through the cnc after the weld repair due to pittting on the gasket area. im thinking by friday I will have both heads to install all of the valves.

if the heads were bead blasted make sure you remove the oil port plugs and clean them with a bore brush this also goes for the anti siphon valve
remove it and verify the lower portion is staked in place and there is not any blast media in the port

releaving the valve guides with a special drill bit. if you dont reem the valves will stick.
thanks for the heads up, but I dont think eitherof the heads were bead blasted. bob has a automotive parts washer. still might be a good idea to remove and clean anyways

45 angle on heads process has begun. regrinding valves to ensure they are true.

Update:
Installed both heads
Installed all DS lifters. (forgot to install first time. < good grief> )
Installed DS cam gears, inspected cams position with Porsche replica tool
Installed DS chain tensionar and new pads. (wow they are expensive)
Installed DS two pins for oil canals
Installed Both cam gear tops with gel gasket stuff, including 3 black caps and orange ring.
Been slow, but pace is starting to p/u. Waiting on a few parts to begin the DS.
Pictures to follow.
