Where did you mount your XM or Sirius antenna?
I finally got around to installing my Alpine radio with SiriusXM. I was nervous about taking apart interior panels and such to get the antenna routed so I picked perhaps the easiest place: on the rear lid / trunk part just behind the driver's head, with the wire going inside on the seal of the rear lid (guess I need pics here to explain). I ran the wire down and hid it as well as I could.
Its not great since from going to exterior to interior it is breaching the rubber seal of the rear hatch. I don't open the rear hatch much so I'm not too worried about the rubbing on the wires but water leaking is a concern. Also I have had the same sorta setup on my Subaru for 5 years now without an issue but it is less water exposed where it is mounted.
Anyone else had to deal with the antenna mounting?

On the dash between the vents always works for me.

Mine is sitting on the roof just in front of the rear hatch. I pulled the headliner and A pillar trim and ran the wire across the roof to get there. Very easy to do.

I put mine inside the 3rd brake light. I'm pretty sure that Keith Widom was the first to do this. Here is a link to that thread. https://rennlist.com/forums/4658483-post1.html
It does require a bit more work with interior panels. But it is a stealthy and elegant solution.
