Hi all
Bit of a long shot.. I found these wheels on eBay, described as 18" Boxster wheels. The seller can't locate the offset so I'm a bit in the dark.
They're fitted with 225/40 fronts and 285/30 rears. They're bigger than I had in mind, but would those sizes squeeze onto my 1981 4.5? And if anyone recognizes the wheels from the photo do they happen to know the offset (or would they fit?)
Wheels and tyres for $1,000 AUD seems a pretty good deal. Tyres described as 80%..
thanks
Jim

Sport Classic II's - they're 18" and come in Boxster (7.5x18 ET50 and 9x18 ET52) and 996 (8x18 ET52 and 10x18 ET65) sets, and are 2-piece wheels.
If you get a set of each, you can swap centers around and make some very good 928 offsets (ET68 9" fronts - using the centres from the 7.5x18). I know one person who's done just that.

If they're Sport Classic IIs and to fit a Boxster (only going off his advert) then a UK wheel supplier site lists them as being ET50 and ET52. perhaps 7.5" and 9"?
I think ET50 is a bit low for my 81 928?

Yeah I updated the post - looks like you quoted the pre-update version just as I was reposting ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
ET50 is borderline for early cars - on paper they should still retain some of the design stability with anything higher than ET49 negative offset (due to the 16mm scrub radius of early suspension), but I'd aim for at least ET55 on an early car for the extra leeway. (late-style suspension is less forgiving of offsets).

Ok thanks
I'll keep scouring eBay for something with a bit more offset
Besides, a 30 profile might be a bit harsh for when I drive over my cattle grid!
