My interior lights and door guard lights do not go off as they should when you close the doors. I have removed, cleaned and checked wiring at the 2 door switches and no change. Strange thing is when I remove both door switches and isolate wiring from earth the lights stay on. It must be getting its earth from somewhere? Is the luggage compartment open switch part of the release switch as I cannot find a separate switch anywhere:?

Check the hatch lower receiver. There is a door pin at the bottom of it that breaks and can cause this.

Be careful, that little hatch opener linkage in the same vicinity can probably whack a finger off.

Cheers guys. The boot does not fully latch shut (it sticks up slightly from the rear wing) so that could also be the problem.

Problem solved. Boot switch grounded when boot shut. As a temporary fix I have glued a piece of plastic to the end of the stricker thereby pushing the switch further in with boot closed. Problem solved Thank guys
