Mark – Is it mechanically sound? I guess I’m really asking, why has it been parked all these years? Like when Jay Leno finds a classic, it’s because it broke down and the owner couldn’t afford to fix it, so they stuck them in someone’s warehouse or barn. Because this is a one-owner car, I’m guessing that’s not the case(?) Great piece of history!

Sell them on ebay: "only used once, full tread - still needs to be worn in"

I believe it to be. The owner took terrific care of it and it was not a money issue. We are changing fluids now and hope to start it next week.

Some of the oil could be rare and valuable, there might be whale oil (LSD) or other additives that are now banned. I would not discard the diff oil, maybe run an analysis on it for fun!

BTW, I bet the automatic transmission is in great shape;-)

this 928 with an LS conversion would be sacrilege That belongs in a near death 928...not a pristine 5k mile 928.....BTW "casper" my current race (think abused) 928 had 122,800 on it BEFORE it ever became a race car back in 2008....and the odo hasn't worked since

Man, I'm a total sucker for anything with "barn find" in the title. Usually I'm disappointed when I see the pics: when it's the real deal, it's awesome. Cool that it was taken to someone who appreciates it for what it's worth. Nice!
