Help Sharks Take Over Hi-Po Driver's Ed w/ PCA - VIR, March 15-17, 2013

Has anybody created a thorough checklist they use for pre-track "tech inspections" specifically for 928's?
I mean specifically for those of us who do most of our own wrenching.
I know the things I commonly check, and I've got a pretty good idea what the mechanic checks, and I know what is on the list that PCA gives out ( general stuff) for the events, but it's my *** in the seat, and it's typically my hand on the wrench before hand. I'd hate to realize I missed something at 120 mph.
A good thorough checklist that I could work through the weekend before would bring peace of mind.

I don't think there's anything specific to a 928 for track tech that varies from any other track tech. One good idea, though, might be to load up the car with some extra weight to account for a potentially very large instructor! Mine was 400 lbs and thus I got a wee bit of tire rub at times. Very glad I decided to get 18s for the event instead of running my 19s!

VIR Lap Video
There is a great Youtube video from the NJ group down at VIR
Nov 3rd...it is posted on the 996 GT2/GT3 forum yesterday
Great lap times ..good viewing angle and you can see the course
while watching the shifts and hands on the wheel...
About 13 min long and well worth watching...
I would link it...but I am a geezer and do not know which
tube I need to wiggle to get it to link here......

One more! Count me in. I think I can scratch up the $ and time by then. I am spending most of it this week at Formula 1 !!! Ha
I love VIR. I have seen a couple of races there. Great place. I would love to take the Shark around the pool a few times.
Now if I can get my fat head into a helmet so that I can almost sit up w/out hitting the roof!

Great pic & video Ken. I will have a few pics of us running together ( actually you passing me LOL) that I will post soon. Hate I didn't get a chance to meet you. I did stop by to admire your shark and met a few of your buddies.... would love a ride in yours sometime. First time I or my car have been on VIR so my apologies if I was in the way out there...had a great time none the less and am totally looking forward to the next event. Was really great to see some other 928's there...let me know if you want to meet up at CMP or Roebling sometime.
