Default 928 Bellhousing Bolts

I don't know and didn't find anyone posting a video on how to remove them but getting a wrench in there can be a bitch. If you don't have the right length offset wrench but do have a shorter one you can do this to make your wrench longer.

Worked well for me when I was doing my engine removal/install.

My Bluepoint ratcheting box end 19mm wouldn't do it. For me, I had to make a special trip to Sears where they sell similar Craftsman wrenches. They have the same wrench set, only the Craftsman brand allows for the ratcheting box to be adjusted to gain the desired offset. Worked like a charm for me.

Sean, the first time you use it, you'll be like, crap, why didn't I buy one sooner?

Get the 13/15 mm one for exhaust work- pays for itself the first time you pull a set of exhaust manifolds. Time being money, and all.

Do you have a preferred vendor for them? Found a few sites that I've not dealt with in the past so if you have one, I'd like to use them.

Or just take the motor out with the bellhousing then disconnect and support the torque tube by letting it rest on the exhaust, and support the exhaust system with rope from the header to crossover connection... the exhaust system is strong enough to support the torque tube. This was much easier.

Hmm... interesting.

Rob, how long is that?

I have a set of bluepoint flex-head reversible ratchet wrenches, but this looks longer.

I see you can buy a full set of them too - search for "EZRRM6" - its a 5-piece set.

I'm thinking the 10mm one would be good too for the cam cap holders at the rear of the heads, where a regular flat-faced wrench can't grab the bolt heads due to the raised plastic lip.

One of my guys bought a set of those. I laughed, until I used one.

That one 17/19 combination had to be specially made, just for this job.

Makes child's play out of those bell housing bolts.

Didn't realize BP made the "flex head" type. Dangit! I got the wrong set.

Oops, my mistake - the set are Williams.

Googling for them turns up these - which look like mine (without running down to check numbers).

Wait until you have to get those bolts out, when we have tightened them, with that wrench....

Looks like the manufacturer of this wrench is EZ Red, googling brought up a number of sellers, this one with a relatively low proce for the 5pc set: http://www.mechanicstoolsupply.com/F...T_p_16654.html no affilition etc.
