Your correct, the 3 way connecter was broken off I still have half of it, it controls air?

for your car part number should be 92820121902, Porsche calls it simply "connecting piece", about $15
any of the vendors here should be able to get it for you

Just checked..they have it "Y Connector For Charcoal Can",

There you go and it will eliminate a fuel smell which can find it's way to the blower motor and into the car. Also reduces the gas vapors getting into the atmosphere.
