Hi Mike,

Will do, they have a bunch of those in the shop...IIRC correctly there were 15-20 cars/trucks inside the shop yesterday from a Dodge Viper to an F-450 work truck on the alignment rack... and not only was there room for many more, but still plenty of room to drive around the whole room...and I don't mean back in and out, literally drive around. Nice place and as I said great people.

Cheers,

Dave

Dave--

This looks like, sounds like the trade school/CC that's in the neighborhood of the BMW plant? I drifted down there a few (maybe more than a few...) years ago when Bigs put together a dyno day for 928 owners. It's a great facility! I didn't have a car to run, except my Ford Escape rental. Why make the smog? But lots of fun and great facility. Especially with all the 928 company that day.

For those at home, the proceeds from these dyno sessions move directly into the auto technology program there. John the instructor/dyno operator came in on a Saturday to host the group on his own time. He wouldn't take a personal 'donation' from me, even under the guise of taking his family to dinner to compensate them for his weekend time away from them.

Anytime you can have 4 hours of "928 Bliss" with little to no traffic on roads like these in the mountains and foothills of NC/SC on a beautiful sunny fall day like yesterday...is always a GREAT 928 Day! :-)

I lived in Greer for 2 years a few years back, really enjoyed my time there. You really should drive the section of 176 between Saluda and Tryon, it is the best road in the area. Very pretty area in general, Tryon is horse country.

More from foggy memory...

At the dyno day there way back when, cars were lined up on the rollers with nose towards the office window.
