Anyone used these in anger yet?
As long as Lex (email sent) does not have an issue with it I will be stocking these soon.
I need at least a set for my own PSD slave.

First let me commend Lex for his research in finding the correct rings and making them available - awesome work and it's this kind of dedication that will keep our 928s on the road in the years ahead.
Has anyone successfully rebuilt their PSD slave piston? Mine is leaking and I tried to install the center ring and am unsuccessful so far. These PTFE Teflon rings are hard and I couldn't get it onto the piston without deforming it. The ring is smaller in diameter than the beveled end. I tried heating to 140 degrees and it was still too stiff to even expand enough to fit on the beveled end of the piston. I tried heating to 170 along with the piston in a pot of water and finally forced it on but it's all deformed now. Lex is sending another and I was planning on trying it at 200 degrees but I'm not convinced that will work either. Also, fingers don't like 200 degrees...any ideas?

The center ring is pretty small and thin. It won't hold heat very long. I had thought of that but figured the piston can't expand that much but I'll give heating the ring and cooling the piston a try next time.

Not so fast....
I finally got a chance to rebuild my PSD slave cylinder, using the seal ring kits I was supplying. That center seal is going to be a problem for many of us. It's much harder than simply heating it and slipping it into place. If you bought one of these seal kits from me, hold off (if you can) on the installation, until I get a report from the seal manufacturer. I sent them my slave with the new seals on the piston, and asked them to A) verify that they were installed properly, and B) that they would seal properly, as installed. I should have an answer in a few days. If mine passes inspection, I'll post a pictoral of how I got that center teflon ring on. It wasn't pretty. I also asked if they would be willing to install the seal sets for us, for a nominal fee. If they agree to do that, I'll post the specifics.

Warming them up in water works and there are special "sizing" tools for other similar assemblies when these Teflon seals are used.

I was notified by the manufacturer today that my installation was correct and was working well. I can post the method I used to install them, crude as it was, but if anyone else has installed these rings, please share your experience, methods and advice, as it may be helpful to others. It sure would have been appreciated by me.

Lex,
IF you have any more of these seals, please let me know via PM or e-mail. I'd like to buy the set for $30, and will make prompt payment via PayPal.

Yes, please post your method. I haven't gotten around to installing mine yet.
