Todd Not that you 'need' it but I need to say it.
FREAKING AWESOME!!! Now we can finally shut up people that dont think 928's can make big power..
The pictures and the details on your website are amazing. You are one hell of a fabricator/builder man. I wish you had a reality TV show I would watch it rather than the junk I see on TV on sat morning (Really, Gas Monkey Garage is garbage compared to the stuff you're doing.)

So you are quite clearly ahead of me. The most I've been able get is slightly above 650 whp, and I used maybe a bit more boost for that (I really ramp up the boost only above 5000) at the extreme.
We have the same long block and my slightly smaller turbos are not a bottle neck. Therefore, I am guessing your edge comes from a combination of three things:
(1) You run a better computer and/or have a better tune. I am still running the stock computers mapped by a novice (me), and my stock computers lose precision at above 6000 rpm.
(2) I am running the stock intake manifold, which among other things may make fuel tuning difficult with the stock computer.
(3) Something else.
By the way, I think we spoke on the phone about the RPM specific boost curve way back when. I assume you're doing that and the gear-specific boost curve as well. Is that all done by Autronic?
As I wrote earlier, I've been working non-stop at the day job for two years. (Yes, it sucks, but the budget constraint has also shifted.) Your results are motivating me to cut back the hours there and look at the car again.

Daaamn! and I limit myself to 8-9 psi of boost and a meager 460 lb.ft/470 RWHP, because I am afraid to tear up the drive line. I like that traction control. How do you do that? My 1-st and 2-nd gear are pretty useless. I need to be very carefull in low gears. http://www.flickr.com/photos/928tt
Todd, out of curiosity, what plenum volume and runner length did you end up with? 4" inside the heads, but how long in the intake manifold?

LOL. Quote of the thread.
Any material with a crystalline structure can fatigue crack. Many factors at play. The 928 block is so stiff I doubt there are fatigue crack issues. That being said we will know at some point while this one is out there running around.
