Default Third Coast - What are you doing to your 928?

This year's third coast is less than sixty days away. (Nov 2nd...)

I was curious to find out what kind of project you plan on undertaking before the Third Coast deadline, and what kind of progress your are making as we go along.

It would be really great to celebrate everyone's accomplishments no matter how big or small at Third Coast.

I installed new ignition coils this past weekend and will be changing the oil & filter in the next week or so. I'll be down in October to have SeanR install a new Porken tensioner, Gates timing belt, Laso waterpump, all accessory belts, and coolant change. We'll also set the cam timing, do a little more sharktuning and take her for an updated dyno run. I'm anxious to see what she'll put down.

TB/WP, plus new timing gears Porken tensioner, new radiator and fluid changes. Plus a few odds and ends for the trip.

I've got almost all of the parts, just need to get back home to complete the work. If not it's the Polecat to 3rd coast.

I blocked off the two weeks prior so I can ensure the locals who are going get their cars up and ready. Think there is only a couple of days left open. Might work on mine.

Mike, would you be able to take a look at my fuel and ignition maps when I'm down and offer your advice? I can pay in cash and/or beer.

LOL, Michael, I've told him the same thing.

Actually, his car is coming along quite nicely. His new interior pieces look great and the new supercharger, well, let's just say I'm sure he needs 220 LSD now more than ever. When he gets on it, one tire is always busier than a one legged man at an a** kickin' contest.

LOL,

I left the house on Monday to take the kiddo to school and the car crapped out on me a block from the house. ***NOTE: the only time my car has left me stranded in the 6 years of it being a daily driver was when the damn fuel pump gave out. First time was 5 houses away from the driveway, this time was a block**********

I 'thought' I had a timing issue but it apparently was a fueling issue. New fuel pump assembly and the car runs better than ever. Now I just need to get "time" to tune.

I have notice a bit more wear on the passenger tire.

Soon installing my new transmission, starting on TB WP, and later wishing I could drive my car down there for the event. I’ll make it next year.

Malcolm, look here:

I'm sure you could get a ride from a DFW or Houston Rennlister, which I believe are the closest major airports. Heck, I could probably give you a ride from DFW if necessary, as I'll be passing by there on the way down. Just let me know.
