Default Shark Tuning and Colin's cams

Finally today Colin shark tuned my S4. My otherwise bone stock S4 has the stage II cams that Colin installed last year on account of my cams found to be heavily pitted.

After the cams were installed my butt dyno said that the engine developed more power. The car was faster and the pull was stronger in some areas compared to the flat curve of the stock cams. The torque characteristics of the engine changed while it was a bit funky with the stock chips, staying flat between 3-4K, the upper range was a true delight and a good shove in the back.

After the shark tuning and driving back home I still cant believe the difference. The torque now comes on very strongly at 3000 rpm, stays strong to 5 and then the motor goes ballistic to the redline like it did before. The big difference is now between 3-5K rpm, the shove in the back is fantastic and i could not help but have a stupid grin on the way back home.

Only one down side... I know I'm going to have to pay at the gas pump for all that fun

Seriously if you guys want to change your cams, Colin's Stage II and a Shark tune truly make a great difference.

BWUAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Now we need to get an X-pipe on your car to really extract the power out of the car!

The Sharktuner is amazing , And Colin is good at making it work . Danny to maximize the pontential of your cams , you need to upgrade your exhaust . I found that my fuel economy has improved , as long as I drive modestly . As for power, my car pulls hard all the way to redline . I am planning on putting the car on the dyno thursday afternoon , you should dyno yours .

Terry,
Really looking forward to seeing your numbers!
And yes Danny does really need to get a different exhaust on his car. But it will come in good time!

Yes and Yes! I know I need the X pipe, although for my daily driving I like the quiet rumble I now enjoy. I must say the power is addicting and I tend to drive it more aggressively so fuel economy out the window Already my average has jumped about 1 liter per 100KM and I know its because of the way I drive it...

At any rate let me know where and when you are going to dyno it and I will see if I can come over as well to have a good baseline comparison.
