928 GTG!!! Saturday September 8th - Buena Park, California
I'm posting the below information for my new buddy, Trius (Rennlist member Drachen)
He has been running a GTG for other cars for years, but has recently become enamored by the 928. I'll be there with bells on. I hope others can join us for a night of food, cars, and friends.
“The Gathering of Dragon’s and Rolling Swedes”
Who and/or what in the hell is “The Gathering of Dragon’s and Rolling Swedes” you may ask? It is a monthly gathering of my new mistress - “Dragons” also known as Porsche 928, Drachen, The Shark, Panamera’s Daddy…….... And my previous wife -- “Rolling Swedes” also known as VFO, Volvo Five-O, Bricks, an extreme mod, a classic, a loved, a neglected or just about any Volvo you show up with ….
With occasional regularity and varying attendance the Gathering has been in Buena Park at an authentic family owned restaurant from Chicago called Portillo’s; the food is fantastic and very reasonably priced no matter what you eat, from vegan to meat tearing carnivore. There is plenty of parking and we have our own little area in the huge lot. We will begin regular once or twice a month gatherings there. Always on a Saturday between 8:30 and 9:00 pm. Eating starts at 9:01! Car talk and hood opening? I stuff my face first!
We have ALWAYS had a great time there in the past with our Volvo meets. Even though I Will limit my work on Volvo’s to the public I will be available for inspections and Q& A regarding Volvo’s as I always have been. Unit 1, Thor and the Bertone will stay with me as I continue with my “vision” for their destiny. As far as 928’s are concerned, I’ll continue to sell the parts I’ve gathered from my parts cars but my main goal is to create a high quality line of 928 only custom parts in carbon fiber, urethane fiber glass, etc.. I know I’ve got the disease…I’m up to my fifth one. When I get my 89 lsd 5 speed. Then I’ll take the vows.
So there it is a mix of the Mistress’s, Dragons, Sharks, Wives, Volvos, Hot dogs, Burgers, Networking, Friends, Gear heads . All mixed into a few hours away from your regular life.

Had a great time last night. Only two 928s in attendance. We were out numbered, but git the most attention. Lots of car nuts talking over good food and beer. I hope we can get more 928s out next time! The non-shark guys had lots of questions. I know that more than one are now in the market for a 928. I believe we are swaying them to the DARK SiDE.
