IAT temp reading 100f is great if the ambient air temp is 90f. Don't forget the IAT is heat soaked.
Your going to have to make an elaborate snorkel that is air tight. Can't just cut holes and funnel the cowl air toward the airfilter.
How about this, do a dyno run in summer then winter months. Whats the HP difference?

my air intake with the shark style twin horns coming over the heads, going to the front of the car on a 90 degree day yielded a repeatable 84 degrees celsius....whew that is hot...still trying to figure how to duct ac to the intake and cool it off....oh yeah!!!
