Default Correct ECU for a 1985/86 Porsche 928S

I'm getting a 928 from a local Euro car specialist. It's been sitting for a few years because of a dead ECU (according to the owner of the shop) but is otherwise in great condition. I don't know much about this particular 928 except that it was manufactured in Sep' 85 according to a sticker on the door sill. Does anyone know the correct ECU for this car?

Looking at purchasing an ECU from the following site but there are several for this year and I don't know which one is the correct one.

thanks!

The 928 has two computers. One for ignition and one for fuel. I assume you want an ignition computer, which is an EZK. But, before you buy one, are you and your mechanic absolutely sure it is the computer? The 85-86 computers rarely fail. So, it would be worthwhile borrowing a computer from someone and seeing if it makes a difference. I would do that before buying a new one.

Since the 85-86 computers are so robust, a used unit might be a cheaper way to go. They are available from 928 International for less than $400. But I would first verify the computer is the problem and that it's not wiring, grounds, coils or ignition modules.

^^^ What Matt said,

and even easier it could be a relay so replace the 4 running relays one at a time.
They are # 53 relays Roger sells em for about 8.00 each

Ignition,
EZF,
LH,
and fuel pump

find your fuse relay chart here
www.928gt.com

Look on page 2 under tips and links,
find the fuse relay chart, print it off.

Also swap out the fuel pump fuse and check the back side of the CE panel for power going into each wire of the fuel pump fuse .

NOTE sometimes the fuse holders get corroded and the power wont go past the fuse thus one wire will have power going to it but the other wire wont have any power that would go to the pump
