my new 520hp engine!!!!!
Ha ha made you look at my "new" engine...... 6.0L of pure American HP..originally from a 2005 Corvette that had a cam-lifter problem..... 520hp-475ftlbs........
Now the million $$$$ question.....what the hell am I going to do with it?.....I don't want to install it in my racer since it will break transmissions faster than my credit card will allow Doc Brown to rebuild them...
Anybody have a friend looking for a full built LS2 for some type of hotrod project?

Buy a run out mid 80's Corvette ( they are cheap if you get a rough one) & make another racer. Can't have too many toys...
I have first hand knowledge of that engine in it's original car- it's strong!!!

Okay details are NEEDED...full disclosure
2005 LS2 with 31k miles from a Corvette (corvette oil pan), it had a cam failure due to a hot "comp" cam installed on stock valve springs-lifters....which caused damage to 1 lobe on the cam and 1 lifter (pics available).....which put a little bit of metal through the engine, which caused the oil relief valve to stick open causing low oil pressure at idle...so the corvette owner pulled it intending to rebuild into something better (it made 440+whp with said cam and FAST intake)....then bought a crate Katech LS3 to put in his Corvette....and sold about 10 boxes of parts to me.....
So I bought it....and took it to a local good machine shop B&R Machine (makes lots of circle track engines) for a full work over....they tanked-cleaned the block-heads and did ALL the machine work.....many THOUSANDS of $$$ later it was ready for assembly.....here is the parts list + work
Early LS2 243 heads with 10.9CR (think LS6 heads..280+CFM @ 28 " not the crap 317 heads)
Crank was cut under .25mm and fully balanced along with full rotating assembly
Clevite race tri armor bearings for rods and mains
ARP rod bolts and STUDS ($650)
Eagle H beam rods ($600)
Total Seal rings
TPIS ZL9 cam with matching TPIS valve springs (power till 6800rpm with lots of torque)
http://www.tpis.com/parts/view/101
GM Performance MLS steel headgasket at .051, torqued to LS2 standards (not higher ARP standards due to aluminum block)
Felpro gasket set
LS7 hydraulic roller lifters
Corvette intake
Corvette drive by wire throttle body 90mm
injectors
water pump
oil pump
crank pulley
Coil packs
a bunch of stuff I can't remember right now??
All it needs is a computer and harness to rock 520hp-475ftlbs......the exact same setup on the TRUCK 6.0L engine makes 475hp-460ftlbs with a 6.0L LS TRUCK engine...think 9.5CR, with truck heads-intake...NOT corvette parts or an IRON block....
http://www.tpis.com/pages/warthog
All that is missing is an ECU & harness + flywheel (auto or manual)......I have sources locally for a strong deal on a C6 Z06 clutch-flywheel if needed....
My rennlist price is $7k......the GM Performance LS3 with hot cam is about $7800 and made with far inferior parts.......and ONLY makes 480hp.....
I have a friend with an engine dyno who can provide proper break in-dyno sheet as well....(for additional cost)

Whats really scary...my local machine shop ASKED when I delivered the engine to them "How are the lifters?".......it stunned me....I said "one is bad"...they agreed and said "typical for LS2's".......DAMN they are good..

TOO FUNNY..............I bought this engine from a 928ers friend..
Guilty! I was the "enabler" that got Brian into it.
Honestly, it was a strong engine before & Brian has made it better. The Corvette was purchased new by my friend and maintained well. This is NOT a 100,000 + miles core junker rescued from a wreck.

You could try posting it in the classifieds of LS1tech.com. Honestly I'd try to find a use for it rather than sell it.
Also, I have a spare flywheel and clutch setup that's good for the power that thing makes.
