Malcome your our guest of honor. No worries on your part. We have never left an owner or driver of a 928 behind and don't plan to start now. The northern guys will pick you up and lead you to the departure destination. We will also have spare FRS radios. Some of the guys will be from the east, the west and north and some may meet us along the way from the south.
Getting kinda excited to be leaving this cold and snow behind........how's the weather?

Laura, Mikey and myself are headed down Thursday afternoon, but we are bringing the trailer, and plan on camping nearby Thursday night at Pedernales falls, or Inks Lake, someplace like that. That will put us in Marble falls very early on Friday for any of you early arrivals. See you at the party!!

I'd rather be an old fart than a young **** head, sonny.
Cheryl will arrive an hour or two ahead of me in HER GTS. I'll bring up the rear in her chariot of fire carrying her wheeled throne.
Booked weeks ago after Texas Parks & Wildlife agreed to a delay in opening day.

Tony,
My Motorolas are a few years old, but they have weather radios built in which is nice. Also I think mine are 5 watts, you want at least that much power, I think some newer ones have even more power. I prefer AA batteries over rechargable. You also want the ones with sub channels, but probably most do these days.
