Default no, i am not crazy...

i am thinking about naming my car christine....

i have spent a little time recently cleaning the interior, lubing sunroof tracks, cleaning out the sunroof drains, and replacing the heater valve....

Today my son and i drove about 5 hours round trip... SHe ran GREAT...
We had a range of 70mph highways and twisty backroads... My baby just purred...

We had dave matthews, led zeppelin, and paul simon jamming, windows down, sunroof open...

Reminded me of high school/college road trips.

seems lately that it has been running a little more rough than normal...until i gave it some love. It has seemed that every time i show her some love i am rewarded tenfold.......

i will be starting another thread about some eletrical cleaner i found and the results.

my wife and i have a joke about my infatuation with Svetlana.....
we have a uber hot waitress on a cruise a few years ago, and it was obvious that i had a "crush" on her...so now any eastern block hottie is Svetlana.....

well that's it..it's settled... She is now Svetlana.....sorry christine...

Nameless 928s are the ones that seem to have the most issues.

Red, nameless 928s, seem to be the worst.

Just my opinion.

This explains so much! Now I know what's wrong with my guards red '84 928S!. Or, it could be that she thinks I have named her "f#$%&*g B1$%^" and she doesn't like it.

Dave schooled me on this when my motor was in pieces on his garage floor, as my car had no name. So, we dubbed her "Angelina", as in Jolie. This did not bode well as she was a leaky b!%ch when we got her together. So, we revoked that name, and she has been fine since (well, it took a bit more than that). However, I need to find a good suitable name to head off any future issues.

My 65 Karmann Ghia was dubbed "Karma G", as those were the only letters left on the decklid badge - always ran like a German watch. My 83 911SC was named "Sally" by my kids after the character in the movie Cars. Only issues I had occured before naming.

So, I need to find a name suitable to the characteristics of the car:
- Long living
- Powerful
- Fast
- Smooth
- Comfortable
- Iconic
- Beautiful
- Sophisticated

All this, even though I always thought naming cars a bit corny...I have come around to the realization that it needs a name.
