Rear Hatch Louvers

Dean is right the late 80's 280z' had them. My sister had a few 280's and the louvers seemed like they may fit a 928. I never checked, so cannot say for sure. They did not seem to stand as high as those in your first post on the corvette.

I brought this up a few years ago with pretty much the same reaction....
I wouldn't want ABS plastics, but aluminum with a black finish of some sort would be nice. Of course they would have to be hinged for cleaning the glass...
I think it would look.......AWESOME.....
Flame away....

Maybe a window treatment place could build some custom Venetian blinds for the hatch. Maybe even out of thick skin.

Ok, I prolly should have spent more time searching for examples, but I really didn't expect this reaction. The 2x0Z references are spot on. I had a '72 240Z with aluminum rear window spoiler and I loved it for it's looks and it's practicality. I was hoping for something similar for the 928.

I don't get you guys. You buy a car that no one in their right mind (by conventional wisdom) would get involved with then flame one of your own for asking about a simple window treatment that you personally don't like. Make up your freaking minds. Are you a free thinker, with your own opinion of what is good and right or are you somehow halfway in between? Or is it only your opinion however different it is than the majority that is right? Free thinkers should support others of their kind. I want fukin louvers on my car. You want a car that will never be worth a fraction of what you put into it. Welcome to the asylum.
I didn't buy a 928 or two because I "wanted to be different". If that was the goal I would have a Bricklin in the garage.
Why No? Because "bolt on" louvers such as those you posted go hand and hand with curb feelers, fake side pipes, fake hood scoops etc...
Basically the era of automotive "style" that started with cars like this:
It's your car, please do whatever you want with it. Just don't expect everyone to like it......
Two of those are designed with the louvers worked into the body. Not an "add-on" glued to the back window. On top of that, Lotus was so in love with the idea they dropped it and the BMW is a prototype.
Not sure what the Shelby SSR Ultimate Aero has to do with this.......and anything on the external side of that car is to aid in top speed and cooling.
I don't see similar louvers on them either.......

Uh, Flavio, ....the OP didn't ask for opinions......
He asked if anyone had a lead on where to source the accessory.
The car is a "period piece" and that was the style.
Not por moi, but, not my wheels.

Here ya go. It's the best I could come up with that you could buy ready-made and modify to suit your needs. Hell it's already hinged!

A good tint goes a long way for heat rejection, unless you want the look..it's your preference after all

You asked and you received opinions, don't hate brother, some of us purchased our 928 and put a lot of blood and sweat into our cars. You bought a nice example recently and probably never even checked the oil level on your own, I am not being rude, and the last thing some of us want to hear is a ghetto mod to the classic lines of our beloved cars.
