Default September 23, 2012-Sunday New York Metro Get Together

I am proposing Sunday, September 23, 2012 as the next official get together for the New York Metro Owner's Club

Time will be 9AM-Noon at Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn, NY

Details will follow.

I am flying back on Saturday, September 8 so Sunday September 9 will not work for me personally and the following weekend I am away as well.

If some folks want another get together on the 9th, by all means, put it together!

Michael

Monday nights from 6pm to 9pm @ The Penny Saver Amphitheatre parking lot, exit 64 on LIE north.
Hot Ride Mondays.
Wide variety of cars
2 911's last week.
I'd like to get a good quantity of Porsche's there.
We can take over the rear of the lot.
Admission is $5.00
They have beer, food, vendors.
(formerly the Brookhaven Amphitheatre)

What's on exit 6 on belt pkwy? Are you talking about the baseball field? If so, there is really no good parking spot anywhere in that area. There are occasional gatherings at Ceasar's Bay mall parking, but I'm not sure I would want to be near them (burnouts, donuts, loud noises and etc.) and they tend to get together in the evenings.

I mean Ceasar's Bay mall parking lot. I thought it was exit 6 off the belt.

Abandoned runway has a speed limit of 25 and police helicopter landing pad is right near by. I doubt you will be comfortable speeding there lol. Great place for pictures, but yes - no coffee or anything else around. Btw, Ceasar's Bay is not much better - they have one crappy pizza place and that is it...

Right of exit 6, on Cropsey Ave, there is an Autozone and Starbucks right across from it. Huge parking place near Starbucks as it shares parking with some furniture store, but can we park there? Can we park by Autozone?

Look up Leon S Kaiser Playground in google maps. It's exit 6 as well, maybe 5 mins driving tops. Has nice unusual view on Verrazzano bridge, grocery within a block, BUT its in projects...

Parking lot at Marine Park? I don't know if there are any food places there though.

Can't think of anything else in the area at the moment...
