Unique coloured GTS
This one special for 77tony!
The GTS owner is into having nice special colours (OK: aren't we all ?) 928's, as per his previous S4 and GT.
This GTS paint job is a definite one-off and is a perfectly executed multi-colour combination, meaning it totally depends on the sun light and angle what colour you see. From cassis red to blue and violet to almost black - and all colour's in between. You really have to see it with your own eyes, these photo's (from a yesterday evening very nice summers evening driving trip in Finland) do not really do it justice.
Enjoy!

Arnoud, Cool color(s) that show up on that GTS. Earlier in the day ours looks greenish-blue, later the same day it looks more blueish-green ? Thank you for the pics. T

Very nice! But hate to break it to you, it's not unique (what are the odds?!) this car has a long lost twin over in London.
When I was at garage a few months ago I heard a rumbling from the paint shop next door and went to see a GTS just being wheeled out in the same gorgeous paint! I think he said it was a 3 pigment chroma-something paint, or something like that, really high end stuff anyway and yes depending on the light and angle it shifts between midnight blue, to magenta to deep, dark "silk cut" purple metallic. Turns out the car belongs to the boss there, I took a couple of pictures of it, will try to dig them out...
Beautiful paint - and really suits the 928!

That is very interesting information, thanks for sharing that info - indeed: what are the odds?! I will inform the owner, he most likely will be amazed too there is a twin in the U.K.
Looking foward to see the pictures you took!

I am not a fan of that color personally. It reminds me of a zillion Mustangs I used to see on the road in the late '90's that all had this same flip flop style paint. Just not my cup of tea, but to each his own. I say make your car the way YOU like it...since it is yours and you are the one that needs to be happy with your toys!

I have a theory on special color GTSs that Porsche always did at least two cars in a given color. Doubt this can ever be really proven or disproven, but James' friend Elliott found another '94 Raspberry Red car in Germany, and this post mentions a twin to the "3 pigment chroma-something" color, so maybe it's true?

Original color in ex German, ex Swedish and now Finnish car was midnight blue metallic. It was repainted in Sweden few years ago by Finnish owned paint shop near Stockholm. Paint used in this case wasn't even invented when this '92 MY car was made.
Porsche always tried to make more than one car in same color one after another simply to lessen time consumed to change paint at production line. In case of raspberry red it would not surprise me if they made more than one ROW car with it and also did 964's and 968's with same color at same time. All three models were painted on same line so they could group same colors together even though they could have made just one single 928 with particular color.
Now this GTS is modified little closer to our usual standards of boxed collection of parts.
