Instrument Circuit Board Repair...plug connect
Looking for advice on re-attaching the copper connector strips from the printed circuit film on the back of the instrument cluster. See pic of problem below.
I removed the now 33 year old printed circuit film from the back of the instrument cluster to access the odometer for repair. All came apart fine but virtually all of the connector ends from the printed circuit (only on one connector point, the other two were fine) were lifting away from the base film that they were once attached to.
I found one reference to someone using crazy glue type material to rejoin the strips to the circuit board film. While it would be tedious, it seems like a possible solution.
Any one with experience on this??

I am in the process of some repair on mine used crazy/super glue with success. Just use it sparingly and make sure those copper fingers are pressed enough to set. Afterwards, I lightly wiped them all with a bit of acetone to remove any glue residue. You are missing a thin plastic overlay which protects those fingers when you plug/unplug that connector.

Great observation on the "thin plastic overlay" that protects the ends of the copper strips.
There does not seem to be one on the other bottom connector point either, but there is one on the connector point that comes off the center of the cluster.
I wonder if I could just use a thin piece of tape to replace the original film?

Also I suggest you check the female plug that goes over the connector in your pic - I checked the circuits by probing into female side pins, and had some strange issues on reassembly. Turned out that the act of probing in there can be enough to bend the pins, and lose contact. You can re-tension them with thin pick with care - once I did that all was good.
