Bear Mountain works for me. I will probably take my 9 y/o son along as well. Hopefully not 98 degrees out, A/C is down and no time to work on it till the winter...

Jim-what's the issue with the AC? I've just taken a "crash course" in AC repair/maintenance in last two weeks!

That means my wife gets to go to the beach alone-she'll be thrilled! Gavin will have to sit in the back seat since front has airbags...

Mine too!

Bear Mountain should have some nice drives? And a place for lunch?

I'm in Westchester (New Rochelle) if we want a starting place.

Old o-rings and hoses, loses the charge after a few months. Want to replace it all and do it right, maybe do the griffiths kit and be done with it for another 10 years. Been really low on the priority list, just drive it when it's not 95+ out for now.

I have the a/c line crimping tool if you want to buy barrier hose and rebuild your lines.

Your welcome to borrow it if you do and get around to it.

Okay--we have a volunteer up in Pound Ridge near the CT border. Beautiful town, great driving to and from the town. He owns a deli with plenty of parking.

So I'm going to propose we leave Long Island around 8:30AM and plan to get there around 10AM. Along the way we can stop and meet up with the Westchester folks around New Rochelle and caravan over to the deli. There is plenty of parking-up to 25 vehicles and hopefully we can get some of the CT folks to join us. (OBehave??)

Samuel Parker's deli near intersection @ rt.172 and rt.137 https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Samuel+Parker's+Landmark+Deli&hl=en-US&cid=2853728549106014354&gl=US&hq=Samuel+Parker's+Landmark+Deli&t=h&z= 16&iwloc=A

We grab lunch there and then drive towards Bear Mountain. The owner will join us for the drive in his 928. We can stop right before the bridge at an overlook if we like and take a quick group shot-if there are any spaces-there is a small parking lot:

https://maps.google.com/maps?q=41.31...8&z=20&iwloc=A

Head over the bridge, come down Palisades-across Tappan Zee-then bring it home...

If I'm the only taker in Westchester I'm happy to meet up on the fly, and or meet you in Pound Ridge.

Sounds like fun.

I am going to send this out as an email to the greater 928 OC and see if we get more bites. Might have a lot of sharks circling!

Bear Mountain is only about 20 minutes from me. I might be able to meet you guys there for a quick hello depending on how much work I can get done from now till then.
