Searched but couldn't find anything on this..
What should the difference be with between outside/inside temps. or what have you experienced.
Max cold
70 Mph. @ 100 degrees
Center vent temp
Mine is about 38-40 degrees.
I recently had freon level checked by gauges- said that they were OK.
Doesn't seem cool enough , any suggestions?
Thanks

I believe I'm getting max cool out of the evaporator but perhaps with an upgraded blower (higher CFM) I can deliver more cold air faster in to the cab.

With slider on Max cold, vent temp should be about 35 degrees colder than floor temp, with lowest possible about 38-42 lowest possible with freeze switch working correctly. Fan on second speed, car not heat soaked in the dash area. Evaporators often need to be cleaned, which helps both heat transfer and airflow. The hvac vacuum system needs to be leak-free, heater valve must seal closed, and the blend door needs to seal out outside air if you expect Max cooling capacity. Lots of little things combine to hurt system performance.

Wow, in hearing how cool some of your cars are,... I thought there was something wrong...
I have checked the coil in front by the dryer, it is clean..haven't checked the one next to the fan .
I have had my heater valve tied off.
Thanks

I get 38 f from center vent with outside temp at 115 f, my heater core is bypassed and my AC system has just been refreshed and runs 134a. This is at idle.
So a 77 f difference.
This is good enough to keep me cool despite having no rear AC in my car.
