Didn't find anything is "search", so... is it possible (reasonably easy) to replace the clutch guide tube without removing the clutch pack?
Thanks

I'm all a fan of doing things that are shorter, even though sometimes the job becomes harder because of it. However, in this case I don't think it is possible. You would have to loosen the clutch pack and tilt it to some degree in order to be able to slide the guide tube out. When you have gone that far, you are already 95% of the way to removing the clutch pack.

Crap, it's a long story, but I've replaced the clutch pack, new everything but had todo some "adaptation" of the particular release bearing, had a fork with the pivot points and a bearing with built in pivots so I had to cut the shoulder off, That's what the old one was. As it turns out, I also needed to use the "other" guide tube, to match that particular release bearing. It is now rattling, from the beginning, and I'd rather replace the tube rather than a new release bearing.
I was afraid I'd need to pull the full pack, but I'm probably going to try to get it replaced without taking off the top fork point. That takes longer, more work, than the rest of the replacement. @#@#!@#@!#!!! Perhaps pulling to the side may provide enough room to replace it?? Sure hope so.
