Not indefinitely but for at least a few mins. Yes, it is entirely possible that all 5 are leaking. comparative neglect does that. If you are wanting this spot on proper, maybe just replace the whole asm.

docmirror, thanks for your reply. If they are not designed to hold vacuum ad infinitum, then I may be in
good shape and all is well....????

just did my umpteenth test and all 4 gave, nearly, the exact same result: with mityvac, pressurized to 20in. After 5 minutes,
value dropped to 10 inches.. after an additional 5 minutes, value was at 7 inches. (one held pressure a "little" bit longer)

is this good, or does this demonstrate slow leaks that are destined to get worse?

Ive never met any naturally aspirated engine that can match barometric pressure in any condition except 'off'.

I remember going through this and testing solenoids for what seemed like forever. And I remember that a bad one wasn't always that much worse than a "good" one. Of course, I was dealing with all used solenoids. Ultimately, if I remember, I ended up just taking the best 5 and using those. All seemed find after and the main issues I had were related to two cracked bulbs in the dash (sorry, I'm spacing on the actual part name). I followed Dwayne's Garage instructions on pulling those out and replacing them and it worked like a charm.

Best of luck. My instrument pod is currently all torn apart and I need to get that finished and put together again soon. Weather is starting to get nicer!
