Tip. My 91 928 GTS has the antenna on the roof. To use my car cover without damaging the antenna, I placed a heavy duty box with a slit overtop the antenna and then covered the car. Worked great and no stress on the roof antenna.

I use the unscrew method but that is a good idea too. Speaking of antennas, I am really surprised no one has ever commented on mine. 87 did not come with them so I added it because I like the look.
