Options from PET VIN search now dead?

Options from PET VIN search now dead?
I can no longer get options info from running a VIN in PET. A UK forum on the other side of the pond says this is now dead because Porsche has killed access to the server with the data. Is anybody else experiencing this?

My PET gives still option codes - its version 7.3 (update 288).
I did notice yesterday however that the old lex-com link doesn't work anymore. They got rid of the Search page.
Here's what the Porsche server would have said:

Yes 7.2 is mostly dead you need 7.3 to keep up

Is there any way to regain use of the option codes feature?
Reload the original and don't update?
UPDATE!!!
I tried updating to 7.3, and now my PET won't run!
Says "The ordinal 6 could not be located in the dynamic link library LxidDcod.dll"
OH NO!!!!
I'm going to try and load an old version and see if I can regain this feature.
Can someone run this VIN if they still have functionality?

Hi,
Hope that someone could give me a tip.
Since PET 7.2 as lost some of it’s options, I’ve been trying to install 7.3, however after all the installation process and the “software installed successfully” message, when clicking on the desktop icon it only shows the message “No INI for Provider”!
Tried different installations methods, with and without Internet connection, different countries, and always the same result.
I’m using Windows XP.
