The funny thing is there is no perfect 928.. my dream 928 would be a frankenstein monster with bits from a variety of model years.
Its part of the addiction.. the fact that every single model year has its quirks and unique features makes me want to own one of each.
I'm sure James and Roger will testify that all their 928's have redeeming qualities
But if Porken likes to say the 86.5 32V is the GTS of the early cars, I'd add that the 84-86 16V "euro" is the GT of the early cars

That twin dizzy gets my heart racing... You my friend are a lucky dog! The engine looks way to clean and has way too many new shiny parts to have had that price tag... Now go buy a lottery ticket!

Hilton, getting forgetful you were in this earlier conversation - https://rennlist.com/forums/7207058-post35.html
All 928's were/are great in their own way but the best all-round as it rolled off the assembly line was these 16 V Euro's. And because of a lot of reasons (and IMO) the 928 is the best car looks and use-wise (ergonomics), I'll keep my fix above.
I agree with you about making the perfect one, I will try once I get the circumstances, it will have bits and parts that come from a lot of different sources.
