Its rather impressive isnt it?
I was liking smoking my 4 tires on my 84,
the tires were rock hard 10 yo ,
and would make clouds of smoke if I stood on the pedal, plus it would slide forever

unplug the abs brain and you can test the speed sensor using an ohm meter. it takes a few minutes. there is a write up on pelican parts forum.

also, flush the brakes, especially the front passenger side. air in the lines will cause either immediate abs light or intermittent, depend on the amt of air trapped. i had this and it was a pain to finally figure out this was the cause.

After all that time, I finally found the problem

It was a broken female connector in the 4-pin plug near the CEB. So there was no voltage (12V) at pin 10 on the ABS Pump 12-pin plug.
