OK., so I don't own it any more, but you can see why I could never forget it. It was a whole lot of fun, even when the motor seized a main bearing in the middle of the Golden Gate Bridge. Then I rebuilt it myself with not much more than a screwdriver and a pair of pilers. You gotta have these kinds of adventures as a kid. BTW, I have never seen a motor run as well as that one did after I finished (it took me all summer of 64). No matter how short you flicked the key, it would start instantaneously. And despite its archaic suspension, it was a total hoot in the twisties with the reversed rim widetrack and 1050 lb weight. Sold it for $90 in 1967 and moved up to a 10 year old Volvo PV544. Never saw The Bomb again. But the memories keep flooding back. The first time my longterm college girlfriend touched my hand was the first time I took her for a ride in The Bomb and did a 360 racing down Fish Ranch Road. Memorable, even if she grabbed it out of sheer terror.
