Hi everyone.............. Every time I try to set my cruise control it immediately goes to full throttle, and I can not bring it down. Any ideas?
Thanks..
Rick
Cruise computer is bad, I had the same issue and it was the module. I found a place that fixes them for a reasonable amount and great customer support. PM me if you want their info. Here is a link to the repair shop http://www.autoecu.com/

Is there a reason not to put that useful info in the post? Or to post that info?
On the '85 it is in the center console behind the stereo against the firewall. It is a silver box with a 12-pin connector. There is one screw on the passengar side holding it in and it takes some wiggling to get it out.
Take it out, open it up and reflow the solder connections with an iron or by covering the non-solder side with aluminum foil and put it in the oven for 8 minutes at 385 degrees. Let it cool, put it back together and zip everything up.
NO not under dead pedal. That's moduals for the warning lights in the pod. I'm frustrated trying to find out where it really is.
It's here (far left). You can barely see it from the driver side but go in from the other side, unscrew the one screw (you'll see it) and wiggle it out.
Thanks for the pix. I'll try looking there but. is it the same on an 83? Your car a later model? Why would porsche hide it in such a place behind the vacuum console!!
