What about concours judges that know that they were originally yellow and that PET is wrong about some things?

MY1994 on my car were originally black as per 321 971 847 B, but I kindly like the look of the yellow ones actually better in the engine bay (and glitches do occur in the matrix....)

If I recall, Ray Shaffer stated at Rendezvous 928 that any Classic parts still in production are produced to keep the car on the road and reliable, not necessarily to keep it in Concours-spec condition. That statement feels relevant here (and a bit frustrating for a self-proclaimed preservationist like myself).

Well, I think we can all agree that Porsche supports under-hood clamp diversity The ones I removed when I did the intake refresh were black as well, but I have no idea if they were original. I looked at the '93 GTS brochure and the single engine picture in it doesn't even have the crossover breather hose. So, the world may never know.

Adding to the list of poorly documented clamps would be the little spacer clamps that are on the PSD hoses. They're not shown in the PET...

Yeah, some judges are tougher than others. Sean Ratts is super tough! Last week at 3rd Coast he busted out his torque wrench and checked fasteners to see if they were in range. Was like a cold war nuclear surety inspection Okay, not really...

I'm gonna guess that he was just making sure the car didn't fall apart after he touched it.

'Cuz then the owner would blame him, and expect it to be fixed for free.

I would have been dismissed from the competition at that point.

3.6mm and 4.8mm (0.14" and 0.19") Ty-Raps! (Local GrayBar $72! )

11.6" (= 3" dia) will hold the main wire harness behind the AC box and wires/hoses to the intake manifold legs.

I plan on starting a reference thread with all the factory locations and sizes pictured.

So far, all the 'raps around the '80 are 4.8mm except for one 3.6mm at the AC vacuum relays holding the hose bundle.

@Rob Edwards any chance you have that original picture still?

I created a spread sheet with P-clamps,harness clips that could be useful

By any chance does anyone know the part number for this retainer for the ABS harness?
