Default oil leak from the bleed screw of the tensioner

Recently, I had rechecked the belt tension and fill in oil in the tensioner (it was dry up). I use a long tube to fill the oil in the left hole and the oil came out from the right hole (I followed the steps from Dwayne's garage website. I hope that I did it right.)

The oil did not leak immediately but after every drive. The oil seems from the bleeding screw. I had checked the front rubber boot and the gasket of the tensioner, they are dry.

The 2 bleeding screws are tight already and what should I do next?
I want to keep the stock tensioner, at least at this moment.

Thanks for helping out in advance.

No gasket/o-ring shown in the PET on those 2 screws. Seems kind of strange they could leak that much. Are you sure it's not coming from behind the tensioner? I switched to the PKTensioner a couple years ago so I'm afraid I'm not much help...

I don't have the no.28 , the rubber cap. Will it make any different?
I reached down and check the back gasket and the rubber boot, they are dry.
Is it normal to leak a little bit after oiling the tensioner?
Thks

The screw #29 has a taper at the end that seats and does not let the oil come back out. The expansion of the oil when heated is what provides the tensioning/dampening in the tensioner.
Did you take the bleeder screws out before you put the oil in? If you don't have the cap it is possible that there was some crud in the open orifice, that you pushed into the bleeder valve while filling it with oil and is not letting it seat properly.
You might want to remove clean and put more oil from the other bleeder valve so that any crud might work loose and come out.
Hope that helps.

The oil is leaking from the bleeding screw, mostly the bleed out screw on the right. I try to tighten it a bit more and the right side bleeding screw broken off in half. Now I am stucked.
I will try to use some small screws to fill the opennings of the bleeding screw to stop oil coming out from there. Will continue to run the car as there is still oil in the tensioner but will seriously consider repalcing it with a Porkensioner one.

My Tbelt looks very new and the water pump had changed in 4000km before. Can I install the Porkensioner without changing the belt? Thanks.

You can install a PKT without removing the crank bolt.

The center cover can be wiggled over the balancer. Just clamp the belt on the cam gears.

I did this on my all of my S3s, as soon as I bought them.

Are there little sealing rings on the screws? If not, find some tiny washers and that should seal it up.

Porken (post #7 this thread) is the inventor of this amazing device. (I'm putting one in next t-belt change).

Can be purchased from Roger Tyson - www.928sRus.com.
