Do not get too concerned about this. " Also check for fuel in the vacuum lines to the fuel pressure dampers/regulators. " Your CIS engine has no such dampers regulators.

Interior Pictures: At this point I have started to tear down the interior to clean and re-glue as much as I can. The plan is to pull the whole interior out and to shampoo each panel individually out of the car. The seats are shot (I do have both).

Looks like someone had a sub woofer or other stereo equipment in there, I'd check all that wiring for issues. Never know who did it and where it is spliced in.

You could score a complete cork carpet set from Paul for $800 and have all new carpet. Wonder what Cork and Blue would look like?

Looks like the rear rims are off an S4, so yes someone was replacing parts with newer model ones.

Best check the engine code... with the non-S steering wheel, could be a 4.5 Euro... which is only like 230hp..compared to the 4.7 Euro at 300 for that year..

Alright, so you freaked me out bad enough to go home and check the engine code during lunch. Turns out to be a M28/11

80-83 S - 5-man (Euro) 4.7L-16v M28/11 300 263 10.0:1 K-Jetronic 155 6.6 15.2 3197

It's a genuine Euro-S.

That is a very GOOD thing. Next check out the exhaust and see if they butchered it putting on a way too small cat ! That engine LOVES the MSDS Headers with a Y pipe into 3 inch single exhaust...muffler of your choice but not the heavy stock rear.

I have been looking at the MSDS headers. Seems to be about the only legit upgrade for these cars without taking out a second mortgage.

Anyone know where I can get a used set? I have to stay kinda cheap for the grassroots budget...

So... I basically bought a couple of spoilers and got the rest of the car for free?

Now what? Run away as fast as possible. These cars will ruin your mind and you will lose your job.

Right now I want to leave my work for a drive in my 81 and cannot concentrate so I have to do it.....Bye
