I know there are several people out there parting. I am in need of a dash light rheostat. Does anybody have one for a reasonable price?

Thanks,

Neil

Neil, I have been tearing apart my 83 if you think that rheostat will work I will check and make sure that someone hasn't taken it already you can have it if you want. I will check tonight, or latest by days end tomorrow.

That would be great, thanks! Mine works, but the mounting ear broke of, so it is just hanging there. Not too practical for driving...

My bad, it is actually the wiper delay rheostat, the dash light control works fine. I'm not sure if there really is a difference though. Probably in the impedance values...

Another option would be to buy the VW wiper relay upgrade from Roger and just get rid of the rheostat. You will end up with better (IMO) wiper operation and the cost is reasonable.

Thanks for the suggestion, Karl! I had not known that was an option. If finding a cheap rheostat replacement does not pan out for me, I might go that route.

As the pod guy I have a bunch. And yes the light and wiper rheostats are different.
