Since this post I had the thought to feel back of the small lump or bend in the bottom of the frame rail as shown in the picture. I found that the other side of that frame member is also bent in the same direction; so I don't think it was from freezing. I think it was from a rear end collision. I guess I will have to wait and see if there is any other evidence of it in or around the rear of the car.
Now I have completed the seat conversion to the later style Sport Seats that I have run the other thread about. Here are a couple pictues of that conversion, including the ReDesign of the seats as I discussed in the other thread.
What I think I will try to accomplish next, after OCIC, is the re-do of the door panels, and perhaps the center console box, which I will replace with one of my own design.
I will also be trying to incorporate my center console flush conversion which I will need to get back to to finish up. This car will be the perfect object for that project completion.
I will also be putting in some sound deadening material and new carpets in this car; and we will be doing the rear quarter panels inside and the whole rear of the Pass compartment. I also have a complete redesign of the rear seats in mind, which will make an interesting thread by itself.
Also in the que is the complete repaint of this car, back to the original color, or my best interpretation of that color.
