I am driving the hell out of my '92 (always have) but I suspect when the '95 gets back it will be my GO TO 928... so I will probably need this system for that car. It needs to have its intake removed and all the fuel lines done anyway so that would be the perfect time to install this system!!! So many cars and so many things I want to do to ALL of them...no wonder only INSANE people have a zillion cars! Well, they are either insane or insanely wealthy like Jay Leno or Ralph Lauren!

while I was "hand wittling" on some aluminum pieces and laughed very hard...asking if each fitting was sold at the local jewelry store....he has pictures....ask him to post them.
The inlet to the Provent is 1" in diameter, so you need a big T-adapter. Most people would just go out and find a plastic dual-AN-10 to AN-16 adapter, or cobble something up out of PVC. Greg is chopping up pieces of billet rod stock, making them hollow, notching them, hand-turning hose barbs on the ends, welding them together, grinding the welds, then smoothing each one on a wheel. Probably takes him 2-3 hours _per fitting_ , at least. But this piece sits right in front of the oil filer neck, front and center. So it has to be jewelry:

Shazam!!!!!!! ... I think I'm going to have to take a sedative before mine arrives so I don't get too excited ...

BTW .. what Greg said about several iterations of the GTS breather setup ..... mine is one of the latest, but it seems they were still changing things when mine was built ... desperation had obviously set in.

Greg is this going to come with EXTREMELY good installation instructions that even my mechanic will understand??? Put me on your list and save one for me my friend! This is going to happen for me... I'll have to decide which car to put it on... '92 or '95...

Yes. Pictures will help, more than anything....and I have taken those on the two systems I've installed here (the "test mules".

It's not simple, when there are multiple goals.

By the time they built your car, they had already "warrantied" several engines which used incredible amounts of oil and pinged like they had "pinball machines" in the combustion chamber.

They had virtually completely blocked off any crankcase ventiation, not drilled any oil return holes in the pistons, had "trapped" more oil in the heads (than any previous model), and created a "virtual" oil pump into the intake system.

What could possibly be wrong?

System cost will be $1295. Not cheap, but very nice and looks like it "belongs" there....like it came from the Porsche factory, to fix ventilation problems, in 1996.

I'm still waiting for some clamps, I'm missing, to come in, from Germany, to ship. (And then these have to go out to be plated gold.) I know that sounds insane, but they have to be "Norma" to look totally factory. Almost all of the replacement hoses have 928 part numbers on them, so people that "don't instantly know" it doesn't belong there might never figure it out! All of the "adaptors" I've hand "wittled" out of billet aluminum, welded them together and then "wittled" on them some more....so they look like they are one piece. There's a line that runs under the driver's injector rail that I hand made out of stainless steel. It's stupid nice stuff.

Being "stupid ****" isn't as great as you might imagine. I can literally make anything, but money. Rob Edwards walked in one day, while I was "hand wittling" on some aluminum pieces and laughed very hard...asking if each fitting was sold at the local jewelry store....he has pictures....ask him to post them.

And on "top" of the stupid price is the fact that you need to remove the valve covers....and the intake system....unless you are a stinking Ninja and can get that front filler neck off and "route" some new hoses under the manifold, with it on.

This is not a "simple" system....because the problem isn't simple. Porsche changed the ventilation system for the 32 valve engines about 6 or 7 times....and never did figure it out.

The GTS model ventilation systems (yes, there are two versions) is pathetic. I have no idea what the hell they were thinking or doing....it's like the engineers came from the local grammar school!

Oh yeah....and I only made up 6 sets of parts.....and only a couple aren't "spoken" for...by really patient clients! But I have patterns and will make more...
Hi Gregg:
I am interested if there is a set not yet spoken for. More details on system and installation welcome.

All the best from Horseshoe Bey,

Joe
