Ad says LT1. Funny how owners of a factory 928 wouldn't sell a nice one without a personal crisis forcing it, but owners of trouble free GM conversions are ready to sell within a year or two.

OTOH asking $15.5k maybe not serious about selling.

In my opinion, the LS engines are too light for the 928. Great in a 951 though! I prefer the truck versions of the LS (LQ, LN, etc.) with the cast iron block and aluminum heads in the 928. You have to use an LS intake and a few other items so it fits but the weight distribution is closer to what the P engine gives it. And, you can go as high as 6.0 liters or more! Even the LT-1 is lighter than the Porsche 5.0 V-8.

The guy who's asked me to sell it for him IS into cars but never really gets his hands dirty on them, like some of us do. I wish I had that luxury sometimes! He always has a nice stable of machines though! Like happens to a lot of people, he's got the "new car bug" and something has to go to make room for it. He really has had NO trouble with the car though. It's too simple to have trouble.
