I'd be willing to test a set as well, as the new alpine head unit has made it all more apparent that my speakers are ****ed. And I have to pull the doors back apart anyways to fix some of the fabric that's coming unglued.

Interesting.

My '87 is a European car and does not have the 8-speaker amplifier option - it has the early-style 4-speakers behind perforated panels (and a funky factory wiring harness with lots of DIN connectors to bridge the amplifier wiring by the passenger seat).

I have a vague recollection the door metal is a different shape in an S4. Presumably these will fit my '87 S4 ok?

REALLY? Because you've got a small garage?

Hans has done it again! I'm looking forward to a Sharkwoofer and his speakers for my '86. I'm sure these will sound just as good.

You could advertise these speakers for toofahs and early 44's as well, since replacement for the old ones is next to nil as there isn't much space behind them, just as in the OB's.

LOL! Yea 1600 sq ft of A/Ced and surround sound bliss is just NOT ENOUGH for a garage! LOL!

I need these speakers for my '85 (and the previously mentioned '84 as well!) I *THINK* I have a sharkwoofer on the way from Hans, but I am not positive about that! Once that is here all the bits to make the sound system NICE in the '95 will be here! Then I just need to grab Jim W or Mark R and get some stuff DONE!

Still waiting to get conclusive feedback if these are ready for sale. I can whip up another couple test speakers if there are people who can commit to getting them installed quickly and tested.

I would assume so as well, not sure though. There is a lot more space on the later doors, so my guess is yes.

Thanks
Hans

Hans,
I will install them this weekend. At least in the doors.

I can make another couple set of test speakers. Original testers have had several project that kept them from test-fitting. If you are interested in testing, and are willing to get them installed reasonably quickly after receiving them, send me a PM and we can work something out.

Thanks
Hans

I finally got another volunteer for test fitting OB replacement speakers (Thanks Robert!).

Coincidentally, I was able to get my hands on some new drivers that look VERY promising. They have great performance, and I can get them at decent price in MOQ of 50 pieces.

I should have pictures up mid-week, and will likely take these along with me to Third Coast if anyone wants to take a look at them.

Thanks
Hans

...maybe you missed this...

I'm still willing and able to test these and can/will put them in as soon as they show up!
