Dave and Jeannie - I will be there - already registered, will be able to see my Dad in Spruce Pine, so I will take the opportunity to run the Diamondback, which I had been on before by accident, but did not know it already was known by others!!! I hope to have my Y-pipe and 85/86 exhaust manifolds on and now I have A/C as well.....really looking forward to it!

I sold all of my rare and unique 928 stuff at least years auction and don't really have enough to do that again. So as of now I have nothing like that planned
BUT, if you want to see if you can organize people to bring something for a similar auction we would have no problem doing that at the banquet again. As to what charity that could be up to you or what ever everyone wants to do. I think it is a great idea and will support whatever can be arranged! I am pretty sure I have a few things I can add to the cause, let me know!
See ya soon,

DR - I tried to PM you but it said I couldn't...
Just a thought....so shoot me as the messenger if needed![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Maybe there is an opportunity to have a raffle for a 928SP credit or something. You know, $50/ticket and sell maybe 100 tickets with 50% going back to charity and the other 50% being the value.
So....
Ticket price = $50
Tickets sold = 100
$5000 in proceeds = $2500 to charity and $2500 as a credit with 928 Specialists?
This way 928 Specialists doesn't need to "Give Away" anything and the SITM community gets a chance at something really good (like 50 times your investment).
Again just a thought.

I think if everybody in the private 928 club throws money into a bucket and one person gets half, you won't get reported. The local school sports team boosters do it all the time.

At this moment, the start point is MM1 of the Blue Ridge Parkway...
I-64 from east or west...Charlottesville or I-81...exit 99...down the ramp to south onto the BRP
Travel about 1/2 mile south to an overlook on your left...
Meet at 8:00 am on Friday, June 1st 2012....
Total drive time and ETA in NC to be determined

Anyone from the northeast heading down for this? My plan is to make a long weekend of it and head out Thursday around noon. This puts me outside & south of NYC around 2PM. From there my plan is to head towards the BRP and see if I can catch anyone else heading down Friday morning.

CourtShark,
There was a post awhile back in the other SITM post with the name, address & phone # of a hotel near MM1. I'm gonna look into that place tonight as I need a place to stay as well.
