Most folks get good results by tossing the in tank pump and replacing it with a strainer.

The strainer is a good option but, out of interest, what's wrong with the intank pump? There are a few simple things that go wrong with them that are fixable.

It seems to have seized but if it is serviceable then I will take a look at that first. I am sure that the short hoses are shot. I will dig into it and report back shortly.

Dave, that did it. I pulled the pump apart and replaced the short hose section. I checked everyone else, re-assembled and Katherine car fired up. Thanks to everyone for your help. Now to tackle the leaking exhaust and several minor issues.

Good result .... depends on what type of hose you used, but it's worth checking every once in a while to make sure the hose is still OK. You know how to do it now, so that'll be easy.

My GTS had a hose that was marginal, which I replaced with reinforced hose, and the soldered joints on the wires weren't properly done and I had a dry joint .... fixed that some time back and solved my intermittent no start.

BTW ... Welcome! ... and keep us all posted on your problems and progress.
