hey guys how do you remove the kick down cable from the sideof the tranny?

You turn the plastic fitting 90 degrees counter clockwise to release it, then pull it up out of the tranmission housing. You should then be able to see the hooked end of the kick down lever and detach the cable. See WSM, vol 3, section 37, pages 113-4.

And, if you unhook the trans cable from the front of the car at the throttle linkage, it makes it much easier to re-install at the transmission end of the cable once you are complete with whatever it is that your doing.

I just wanted to make sure in case no WSM available. It is a hard to find cable if needed and a real pain to replace.

ok i got it off right in the housing (white plastic housing) the elbow part stayd in the tranny
