Default 1978 Porsche 928 with 35K miles - $9000 (Villa Rica, GA)

Just popped up on my Craiglist here:

1978 Porsche 928 with very low miles (35K). New tires, wheels reconditioned, just painted, original interior, runs great, V8 fuel injected, very fast, euro model brought in from Germany, have owners documents price reduced for quick sale 404-422-8889.

Not really a Euro. Looks like it has the checkered seats.

Could be nice. Wonder what the paint job looks like in person.

Notice the rear side marker light looks like it is a surface mount and NOT the recesssed USA light. So maybe usa front fenders on a none S Euro ?? would explain the repaint @ this low miles, and if a euro the speedo odomoeter was changed when imported when ever that was. Have to wonder why no shots of the seats ?? But it is a 5speed no sunroof car.

Someone added an S spoiler. Thats gonna negate this car as a "collector car" but it could be a great driver. 35k miles is just high enough that I wouldn't feel bad driving it and enjoying it.

Until we know if it is a Euro car with a later USA front end including spoiler maybe installed after a front end accident ??? . Need a vin # to confirm. Hard to say what this car is.

Green with green interior. Nothing says the 70's like that LOL!

Cool looking car though, I agree it would be a good driver car. Too many changes to be a garage queen.

Default Horked that up

Well, in my book the credibility issue starts wtih the juxtaposition of "78" and "very fast"..

What is the hole just below the corner of the fog/driving lights? Also, if you are going to go through the trouble of removing the Euro marker lights behind the front wheels, why not remove the ugly slapped on rear marker lights sourced from a trailer?

You can see a bit of the DS seat - Pascha. PS seat looks to have a sheepskin(ish?) cover... maybe in bad shape?

So good chance the front end was knocked of this car at some point in time(inset USA 1/4 lights and spoiler), seats are shot , repainted and has a replaced odometer since it reads in Miles. Not an original true 35,000 mile car at all. And it IS GREEN The current owner however probably believes the miles and may have paid accordingly. Still could be a nice driver but probably lacks A/C as that was rare on early Euro cars. Certainly not worth 1/2 of what he is hoping for.

Someone should call Rixter since it's green. I haven't seen him around in a long while. Anyone heard from him?

Love that color, but I would want a Lind Green OB personally...
