This thread got off to a good start, lets keep it that way, ok?

If you have nothing positive to add, or a question as an interested purchasing party, please keep it out of this thread

I did not say I use the SBC offset, Bill. Greg implied that.

I said that you need to use the SBC bearings with this crank, and Greg is right, you need to have the right "928" offset.
I use Oliver rods that have both the right bearing journals and the right 928 offsets, of course. As does he, I'm sure.

Yes the Moldex cranks have proven to be better, more durable than the Scatt cranks.

I apologise Carl.

My comment was directed at the end user going short, your crank is not sold with that HW/etc/etc/

Sorry for the confusion.

For clarification, it sounded like you were suggesting to use a generic SBC rod.

Since a rod with the correct 928 offset has to be custom, by definition, adding in the "metric" pin size is child's play....and certainly wouldn't cost any more, once the rod is already custom.

If you read what you said, above, it is very easy to see what confused me.

Again, I'm not being combative here.

Clearly you are selling what appears to be a good crank for a good price. (Although I don't know why you just don't keep it and use it in your next stroker engine.)

There's not much to add to a thread where something is offered for sale. However, looking back at other threads, I think that it is very common for discussions to occur on related topics....otherwise this would be a really boring place.

Pretty simple, calm exchange of ideas, which is what I thought Rennlist was all about, but if you want me to remove any of my thoughts, just let me know.

I am seriously considering just buying it from the customer and putting it on the shelf myself. I know I will need it within the year, and I'll kick myself then if I don't.

But I'm just like the rest of you guys, its unexpected, and I don't have an extra $2k laying around or I'd grab it myself. And I still may if its still available in another week or two.

Just trying to help my customer sell it.
