Identification of seal reference cooling system
Hallo to all,
I have dismantled the regulator housing that lodges the thermostat with the aim to change all seals. I discover now that there are two (flat) seals between the housing and the engine that are not shown on the PET catalogue. Does anyone know the reference of these parts, or know where else to find them ?
Thanks for your help

I recently did this job on my 83 US, and my car (engine type 28/19) does not use the O rings, only the gaskets. My local dealer, and Roger at 928sRus both confirmed that only 1 gasket is available for both sides. The only problem is, one side fits perfectly and the other side does not. This caused a leak and I got to do the job twice. Luckily all the seals needed are not expensive, and by using a little extra sealant (I used gray silicone) I was able to get a good repair. Both Roger and my local parts person led me to believe all engines use either the o rings or the gaskets, I am a little surprised your engine has both. In any event, Roger Tyson at 928sRus is the guru, and if you can't find knowledgeable people near you, then contact Roger - he is all over this forum. This job is a little tricky on re-assembly, as everything has to go back together at the same time. I did not try, but if you do a thread search, there is probably a helpful step by step guide. That is what I learned (the hard way, of course) when i did mine.

In your picture you have the thermostat o-ring on the back side of the thermostat element. Remember that the correct location is on the front of the thermostat element between the element and the cover.
