Hi Roger,
Will the KONI's reds work on a 93 GTS ?
The price is for a set of four? Forgive if sounds tad silly of a question.
I am looking to replicate the original ride quality as it was in 93 when it left the factory.
Please advise if I should be ordering red or yellows.
I will be at SITP2012 if that helps or save some of the shipping cost on your part.
Thank you
Steve

Hi Steve: There is no Koni yellow for 928s. The red ones will not replicate the original ride. You'd probably be happier with original Boge shocks. Roger sells them. See you at SITP XII.
Thank you for the feedback I will opt for the Boge, as you know me well enough. Nicole also suggested Boge for my desire to replicate the original ride quality. I think my s4 had the reds, which was a tad firm for my taste.

with everyone whose jumped on this deal, im curious what springs you plan to use with them and whether for street or track? alot of what im seeing across the forum is to use the eibachs with them, but i cant tell if thats soley for track use or not. From what im seeing, you want stiffer springs to match the stiffer shock. but if you want a soft ride, could you just keep the shock at low-mid and use stock springs?
Thanks again roger for this amazing deal!

I have these with Hypercoil springs 600 front 400 rear (ordered as a kit from 928MS). Works great on the track and well on the road. Perhaps a touch firm for some of the bumpy B roads we have here in the UK. I run the shocks in the middle of the settings and have never played about with them - that's something I maybe ought to try.
Overall I'm very happy with them.

I don't think those are the right numbers. The stock fronts are noticeably stiffer. I'm running those spring rates in 2.5" springs and find it too stiff for city driving.

Roger, I'll take a set for the 80. GlenL, according to the seller/friend, the F: 400 R: 245 spring set up with the softer settings on the shocks worked well around town in his 86.5, and really liked them for those spirited rides. Also, the Texas roads are pretty smooth, unlike the CT & Vermont roads where we used to live. T

I have used the Konis with stock springs on my '89 and my '84 Euro. I use the Konis with Eibachs on my GTS. The inital setting is what seems to make the difference. On my '89 and my '84, I set the shock to middle stiff. It can be a rougher ride, for sure. On the GTS, I left the shock at the factory inital setting of full soft.

Steve et al,
I agree with No Vector and John Curry about these on a GTS. I installed them with Eibach springs this past winter, and set them at 1/3 from soft to firm. The ride is still very good, and the handling is superb. I've always liked driving the '94, but never as many personal smiles as I have now!!
