Give 'em hell, Andy! What sort of classing/top speed are you planning to run? Any way you can strap a laptop or a Display Link in the car and datalog during the runs? Would be cool to see what sorts of rpm you run, and for how long....

DRIVE WITHIN YOUR LIMITS.....don't worry about what the car is capable of (ALOT).... I don't want to see you end up like SO many GT3's do at the track when they end up rubber side UP..... You have a lot invested in this car and it will take a while to get your driving skills caught up to the abilities of the car....I'd guess even seasoned ORR guys like George and Tim Dey would take a few events to get used to it....

Andy,
My first event this season will be the NORC on May 20th in Ely Nevada. I had checked with the BBORR
a couple of years ago about running their events, but was told I couldn't run in SS my first run with
them even though I've run over a dozen events at that division before. SSCC said the same thing, but
their closer and run multiple events a year. Also they let me start my first event in the 150 class, so
it made it easier to make a choice.
Anyway, good luck at BBORR. And if all goes well, maybe we'll see you at NORC,

Frank,
BBORR would be more than half way across the country from you... That said, it is probably the closest open road race to you...I'd love to do one of these some day! I have auto-X'ed, PCA Club Raced, PCA Time Trial'ed...no open road racing though...some day!

Well, it is just too soon. Wife will not be anywhere near finished with her chemo/rad by then. So, next year. James, lets plan on it next year. It gives us plenty of time to plan and get the cars ready. I spent some time on the track at VIR on Friday and it was just the time of my life. Imagine, driving like that without having to watch out in every directiion for blue lights? It was awsome. However it was a charity day and there was a pace car and many other cars on the track. The one that held everyone up was a new Shelby Cobra Mustang. Not sure why he wouldn't go any faster but we all backed up behind him like rush hour traffic. I opened my windows and sunroof. It was more like highway driving from that point. There were so many people there that I didn't get my second run in but the day was worth every cent. I spent about $80.00 total and it was for Ronald McDonald house with is a wonderful charity.
Good luck Andy, Get someone to ride along and get me a video if you can. That way we can all experience it some. And, yes, George, I have enjoied your videos many and many times. I love the fact that you run them and share them with us. I am comming out there in the next several years If my health holds up.
Cheers,
